Where it all started...
It started as kids in their garages, playing the local scene back in the day, circa 1981. But, Explorer disbanded after 4 brief years. Hey, as kids, you don't know what you got until it is gone! Fast forward over 20 years, and by a twist of fate and circumstance, the five original members found each other back in January of 2005 and decided to get that Machine rolling again! In the ensuing 13 years leading to the present, several new members joined, bringing Explorer to the next level. Some things are just meant to be.
Some bands play a certain genre of music, while others pay tribute to a particular band they love. Over the past thirteen years, Explorer has steadily grown a reputation for their wide variety of party music that is always dance-able, with an occasional kick in the pants of something heavy and intense. No genre is off-limits. Covering many decades, Explorer will navigate through Classic Rock, Top 40 Pop, Southern Rock, Current and Classic Country, and yes, of course; 70's Funk & Dance. All these genres blended seamlessly together into a night of dancing and grooving! So come join the Explorer journey through the different styles of music that shaped your life.
